An anthology of portraits featuring a series of over 40 images curated and shot by acclaimed photographer Olivia Tsang. Designed by Alan Chan, Words by leading art and cultural writer Catherine Shaw, award-winning film maker Man Lim Chung.

In a series of black and white portraits, Tsang honours 9 extraordinary women, including Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh, actress Fala Chen, actress Charmaine Sheh, independent board director Lily Cheng, real estate executive Jessica Chan, supermodel Qiqi Yam and her daughter Ella Yam, and more. These women, some close friends and others admired icons, embody important facets of female empowerment, perseverance, and achievement. The portraits are accompanied by quotes from their subjects. A collection of stills Tsang captured during the summer of 2024 add a layer of warmth, creating a contemporary visual journey in feminism from both artistic and personal perspectives.

"For a commercial photographer, to create a photo art book is such an intimate adventure. An honest, tangible expression of my experience of depression, the extreme colours versus black and white portraits and the way they are arranged is a narrative of calm and chaos, clarity and desperation.  I’m grateful to aesthetic authorities such as Alan Chan and Man Lim Chung and Catherine Shaw, who not only express their feelings, but also contribute to a gender-neutral conversation about women’s empowerment."

- Olivia Tsang, author and photographer for EXTREMELY

All proceeds from the sale of EXTREMELY will be donated to The Women’s Foundation (TWF), a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of women in Hong Kong.
